What is in a report?

A report shows the trend in clicks and impressions, which searches brought traffic, what has been fixed since last time, and what is next in line. It is built on the same numbers as the screens in the tool; nothing is recalculated for the occasion. You choose which sections to include, because a report for a board and one for a web manager should not contain the same things.

Why a link and not a PDF?

A link, because a PDF is out of date the moment it is made. A link shows the numbers as they are, and the recipient can open it again next month without asking for a new file. If it has to go in a folder or be attached to an email anyway, the page can be printed to PDF from the browser.

Can the recipient see everything?

No. A report link gives access to that one report: not to the project, not to your other websites, and not to anything that can be changed. That is deliberate: someone who needs to see a result should not need an account, and an account should not be the price of showing something.

Do you write the text for the report?

If you want us to. There is a summary at the top, which the tool can write from the period's numbers: what went up, what went down, and what was done. It is written for a reader who does not work with SEO every day. You can always edit it, and you can choose not to use it.
