Privacy policy

WSEO is operated by Webza. Questions about your data, or requests for access, rectification or erasure, should be sent to rune@z15.dk. We reply within 30 days, as the law requires.

When you log in with Google, we get access to two things:

• Your profile: name, email address and profile picture. It is used to know who is logged in, and to show that in the application.
• Google Search Console, read only (the webmasters.readonly scope): which searches your website is shown for, how many people click, and what position you have. These are the figures the whole tool works from.

Access is read only. We cannot change anything in your Google account, and we do not have access to mail, calendar, files or other services.

Google Analytics is optional. We do not ask for that access when you log in. If you press "Connect Analytics" on the account page yourself, we get read only access to Google Analytics (the analytics.readonly scope). We use it for two things: to show you a list of your Analytics properties, so you can pick the one that belongs to your website, and to read the daily number of visits from organic search on that property. The figures are shown next to your Search Console figures, so you can see whether SEO work turns into visits. They are kept for 400 days and shown only to you.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• The websites you have added in the application, and the keywords you track.
• Attempts to create an account — the email address, the time, whether it was through the form or Google, and what happened. Including attempts that were turned away because sign-up is closed. We use it to see how many people want in, and to be able to write to you when we open. Write to rune@z15.dk if you would rather be deleted right away.
• The result of our review of your website: URLs, titles, headings and the errors we found. We fetch your pages in the same way as Google's crawler does.
• Rankings over time, so you can see whether things are going up or down.

On our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. Data does not leave the EU, apart from what is described in the next section. The database is not accessible from outside, and the connection to the application is encrypted.

Some of the analyses cannot be made without querying other services. You should know this, because it means that part of your data leaves our server:

• Keywords are sent to DataForSEO and Serper.dev. To be able to show what a keyword is worth, and where you and your competitors rank, we look the keywords up with them. This applies both to the keywords you have chosen yourself and to those Search Console reports that you are shown for. No information about who you are is sent along.
• Your domain is sent to OpenPageRank. To measure how many other websites link to you.
• URLs of your pages are sent to Google's PageSpeed service. To measure how fast they load.

We do not sell data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models. Your Search Console and Analytics figures are shown only to you, and Analytics figures are not passed on to anyone.

For as long as you have an account. If you delete a website in the application, its data is deleted immediately. If you ask to have your account deleted, we remove everything (profile, websites, figures and history) within 30 days.

You can remove our access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. From that moment we can no longer read new figures. It does not delete what we have already stored. Write to us if you want that removed as well.

You have the right to know what information we hold about you, to have it rectified, to have it erased, and to receive it in a readable format. Write to rune@z15.dk. If you are dissatisfied with how we process your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

We only use our own first-party cookies, and only those needed for the site to work:

• The one that remembers that you are logged in.
• sprog remembers which language you have chosen. It is kept for one year.
• tjekket-domaene carries the domain from the free check over to signup. It lasts one hour at most and is deleted as soon as it has been read.
• A demo cookie, which is only set if you open the live demo.

There are no tracking, statistics or advertising cookies.
